A 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Orange County
Muslim Family Circle brings Orange County families together through camping trips, family nights, youth programs, and acts of compassion — building a community rooted in faith, knowledge, and kindness.
Assalamu Alaikum & welcome
Muslim Family Circle (MFC) is a volunteer-run nonprofit with a simple belief. Our vision is to nurture an environment where individuals and families flourish, embracing the values of faith, knowledge, and compassion.
From our annual Camp Tanweer retreat under the stars to Ramadan iftars, family nights, and programs for kids and youth, everything we do is designed so that every member of the family — from the youngest to the eldest — can participate, learn, and belong.
We are volunteers. Every event is organized by community members who give their time because they love this community — and there's always room in the circle for one more family.
Family camps, iftars, picnics, and family nights that turn neighbors into extended family.
Seminars, Kids Circle, and Youth Circle programs where every generation learns and thrives.
Charitable programs that quietly support community members through hard times — from scholarships to Umrah sponsorship.
Our flagship weekend
This October, in sha Allah, we return for our beloved annual camp — a weekend of inspiring talks, outdoor adventure, and family bonding under the stars.
Camp Tanweer has become a highly anticipated tradition: 200+ campers, renowned speakers, interactive workshops, campfire conversations, and outdoor recreation for the whole family. Our last camps sold out in days.
Partner with us
MFC runs entirely on volunteers and community generosity. Sponsorship keeps our events affordable for every family — so that cost is never the reason a child misses camp or a family misses iftar.
Every dollar is stewarded by volunteers — MFC has no paid staff, so sponsorship goes directly to programs.
Support Camp Tanweer, a Ramadan iftar, or a season of Kids Circle. Recognition on event materials and at the event itself.
A recurring commitment across all MFC programs, with recognition on our website and community channels.
Meals, transport, printing, equipment, venue space, or professional services — often the help we need most.
Year-round
Beyond events, MFC runs ongoing programs that give kids, youth, and adults a place to learn and grow all year long.
AGES 6–14
Islamic learning meets serious fun. Alongside Islamic Studies, kids join Robotics, Archery, and Chess clubs — building faith, skills, and friendships.
AGES 12–17
Launched in 2024, a space our teens can call their own — fun, entertaining, and educational activities shaped by what our youth actually want, guided by mentors who care.
ALL ADULTS
Scholars and community leaders exploring Islamic and social topics with depth and honesty — because parents are learners too.
Signature events
Most events sell out quickly — join our WhatsApp community for first access to registration.
200+ campers, renowned speakers, interactive workshops, campfire conversations, and outdoor recreation for the whole family.
Hundreds of community members break bread together — an evening of reflection, connection, and gratitude that has become a highlight of the year.
A night under the stars, s'mores by the fire, and new friendships — a chance for families to unplug and reconnect with nature and each other.
Evenings and outings where everyone feels valued and embraced — entertainment, recreation, and a little learning woven in, with activities for every age.
Practical guidance on the questions families actually face — from raising kids with faith to navigating life's challenges.
Umrah sponsorship
For many in our community, the dream of standing before the Kaaba feels out of reach. MFC's Umrah Sponsorship program exists to change that — quietly, respectfully, and with dignity.
Each year, MFC selects deserving community members — those for whom the journey would otherwise be impossible — and helps make their Umrah a reality, through financial assistance and student payment plans. Selections are made thoughtfully and confidentially by the MFC board.
When you give to MFC, your donation stays in this community. We engage directly with individuals in need to understand their circumstances and provide tailored, dignified assistance.

Our board
MFC has no paid staff. Every camp, iftar, and youth night is planned and run by an all-volunteer board and community members who give their time because they love this community.
We're governed by an elected board that oversees programs, finances, and our charitable giving — and any member can step forward with an idea to serve. There's always room in the circle for one more family.
A dedicated space of our own — a home for kids, youth, and family events. And a Muslim-owned campsite, so retreats rooted in our values can happen more often, shared with other Muslim organizations.
Whether you want to sponsor a program, join an event, volunteer your skills, or just say salaam — we'd love to hear from you.
